This Course (B.P.Ed) is related with the training of common teacher and physical education, teacher of high school levels. After the completion of these courses one become eligible to secure a job under graduate grade in Govt. and private secondary schools, as well as in Navodaya Vidyalaya and in Central Govt. schools. These students get preferences for the post of lecturer at +2 levels also. The successful candidates of these courses are also eligible to train the teachers in primary teachers training organization.
Govt. of UP has decided to appoint the B.P.Ed passed students under 'Vishishta BTC' programme, in Govt. primary schools. Under this scheme, the students will be eligible to become assistant teachers in Govt. primary school after completing a training of certain period.
These candidates are also entitled to get admission in master course (M.P.Ed) and after completing this , they become eligible to train gradate teachers in graduate teachers training organizations. M.P.Ed passed candidates, which have participated in inter university sports competition can secure a job as a trainer in nay stadium after getting a training from NIS . Sports organizations, that appoints referees in various games by conducting an examination, in this too B.P.Ed. Passed out candidates are given preferences.
So It is quite clear that B.P.Ed. courses are practically very useful in various fields.
This Course (B.P.Ed) is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education. This recognition was given to B.P.Ed council of northern area committee, Jaipur with letter no. F.NRC/NCTE/F-3/U.P.2358/23766 on 08-08-2007 and F.NRC/NCTE/F-3/U.P.2247/25114 on 09-08-2007 respectively. This B.P.Ed course is affiliated with RML, Awadh University.
For the admission of B.P.Ed classes, University organizes an entrance examination, under the norms set by the NCTE and UP Govt. The minimum qualification for the course is graduate pass. During admission, the norms of reservation are also followed SYLLABUS AND EXAMINATION.
The syllabus and examination of the course is designed by RML, Awadh University. Its brief introduction is as follows.
Under this course, theory classes, practical teaching classes and sessional are organized and evaluated. Under each, different grades are given. In theory classes, there are four compulsory and two optional papers. Optional papers are based on teaching methodology of school teaching subjects. Each paper is of 100 marks maximum, in which both long and short questions are asked. In practical and in sessional a student has to do teaching practice in school opted subject, to finish other works of school, to analyze the teaching lessons of other students, to collect those things which help in teaching, to conduct the psychological analysis, to design the paper of annual exams, to practice the operation of audio-visual material, to conduct the work of social importance products. Among many lecturers one lecturer works as HOD (head of the department). HOD has the responsibility to look after the teaching programme and collaborates with other lecturers and principal of concerned department. A student has to gain practical knowledge of other useful work related with this college while studying theory subject and teaching practice.
From this point of view a student has to follow the following points……
1. To follow the dress code in classroom, practical works set by the department.
2. To participate in theory, practical classes and sessional regularly and prepare notes.
3. To use the library according to the needs at the prescribe time peacefully.
4. To keep clean classroom, college building and premises and to pursuit other for the same.
5. To avoid wondering uselessly and speaking loudly.
6. In the classroom and in the college premises the use of cell phone is prohibited, if it is very urgent one may use it outside the building.
7. To avoid accompanying any outsider in college premises and classrooms.
8. To check the notice board regularly to get updated with important teaching programmes.
9. To enter in the collage premises with identity card and show it when asked.
10. As B.Ed course are of one year, so normally the students are not granted more than one leave in a month. For leave one has to inform HOD with written application. During the whole session more than 8 leaves are not granted, if it is so then the student will be fined, determined by the institute.
11. It is mandatory to follow the instruction of SGEI proctorial board.
12. The admission of the student can be cancelled on the basic if he/she will be absent of the classes without any information, if he/she misbehaves with other (teachers and student) for that the student will be responsible for his/her loss.
